Rumsfeld In East Africa To Consolidate Western Military Control
The Horn of Africa is fairly overrun by US, British,
German and French troops, special forces, monitoring
and surveillance posts and installations, naval
groups, aircraft carriers, and infantry and air bases.
Yemen, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan,
Djibouti all are so many US-NATO command posts which,
added to US and allied military presence in Bahrain,
Kuwait, Oman and Qatar in the Persian Gulf, gives the
Big Four near total military control of the region.
In addition to recent, substantial petroleum
discoveries in Somalia and the general locale, control
of the geopolitically vital Horn of Africa, Red Sea
and Gulf of Aden area permits the US and its three
fellow NATO Quad members to dominate most all key
shipping lanes and choke points from the Eastern
Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean.

Mr. Pinter discusses in his speech an arrogant and abusive US foreign policy
General Wesley K Clark declared,
as the NATO bombing began: "We are going to systematically and progressively
attack, disrupt, degrade, devastate and ultimately - unless President
Milosevic complies with the demands of the international community - destroy
these forces and their facilities and support". Milosevic's 'forces', as we
know, included television stations, schools, hospitals, theatres, old
people's homes - and the market-place in Nis.
